What are cookies?
Cookies are small text values stored by a browser. They help a website remember a session or a preference. Marvin Cafe only enables cookies that are needed for the current experience.
Why we use them
Essential cookies support reservation flow stability, admin session continuity, CSRF protection, and consent preference storage. Optional analytics and marketing cookies remain disabled until their provider and purpose are approved.
Types of cookies
| Type | Purpose | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Booking flow, security, and admin session | Required |
| Preferences | Remember consent and language choices | Optional |
| Analytics | Understand booking funnel performance | Deferred |
| Marketing | Campaign attribution or remarketing | Paid / deferred until Marvin approves budget |
Third-party cookies
No paid analytics, advertising, or marketing provider is enabled in this free-first build. External images may be loaded by the browser, but that does not grant Marvin Cafe access to a third party's cookies.
Duration
Session cookies expire when the browser session ends unless the relevant security flow sets a shorter expiry. Consent preferences use the current consent version and can be reset by clearing site data.
Managing your preferences
You can block or clear cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent reservations or secure admin access from working correctly. The consent banner is the current preference surface; a richer preference center is planned separately.
PDPA and your rights
Cookie-related personal data requests can be made through the data request page or the contact page. See the Privacy Policy for the wider data map, retention, and rights process.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the website or its providers change. Contact details must be entered in Page Settings before launch; placeholder contact details are intentionally not fabricated here.
